How to service and repair the headlamp dimmer switch on 2007 Ford Escape?

In order to service the dimmer switch of the headlamp, the Clock Spring, electrical connectors and screws holding the multi-function switch together must be removed. Installation of the new switch is done in the reverse. Do not take the ignition lock cylinder and ignition switch out simultaneously to avoid damage to the steering column.
