Before pulling up on spark plug wire boots you must twist them properly to protect both the wires and their sequence. Twisting and pulling upward action should be used to disconnect spark plug wires from the ignition coil. Take out the ignition coil by removing its bolts while tightening these bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) during coil reinstallation. Examine the ignition coil to check for carbon tracks along with damage. The installer must follow the removal steps in reverse order before applying silicone brake caliper grease and dielectric compound inside the spark plug wire boots.
