How to service the catalytic converter on a 3.0L RH All Wheel Drive (AWD) on 2007 Ford Fusion?

Start the catalytic converter service of a 3.0L RH All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicle by first placing it in NEUTRAL gear position and hoisting the vehicle. New fasteners and gaskets should be used in combination with flange face cleaning before new gasket installation ensures a proper seal. Begin the service procedure by taking out the exhaust flexible pipe followed by the intermediate shaft. Detaching the heated oxygen sensor and catalyst monitor sensor enables you to remove the roll restrictor bolt for rotating the engine ahead until torque reaches 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.). Reinstall these components in the reverse order. You can install the heat shield after removing its six bolts while tightening it to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque. First disconnect the three nuts along with heat shield brackets before reinstallation where the nuts require a torque of 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). The three nuts holding the RH catalytic converter need to be taken away after their removal and discarding of the gasket and nuts before you tighten the new nuts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Tear out the three RH catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold studs and when installing new studs apply torque to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Quest for reverse the procedure by using new gaskets and nuts.
