How to Service the Coolant Pump Drive Belt on 2007 Ford Fusion?

bianstable conditions are required when servicing the coolant pump belt. The vehicle should be in NEUTRAL position on a hoist during production. Follow the instructions to remove the two install nuts on the coolant belt pump shield then proceed with the coolant pump belt cut before discarding it. The process starts by removing two splash shields that give access to the crankshaft bolt then continuing with the removal of four screws to put aside the RH fender splash shield. The RH splash shield removal starts by removing the series of 6 pin-type retainers. The new coolant pump belt should be placed onto the coolant pump pulley and positioned around the camshaft pulley with strong care to avoid touching the belt with metal tools that could cause damage to the belt or pulley. Turn the crankshaft to the right to fully locate the coolant pump belt properly on the camshaft pulley. Reinstall the coolant pump belt shield only if necessary and fasten it with nuts tightened to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.). Reinstall the splash shield on the right-hand side using 6 pin-type retainers while placing the RH fender splash shield correctly before screwing in its 4 retaining screws.
