How to service and repair the alternator on 2007 Ford Taurus?

To service the alternator make sure that the vehicle is neutral and in a hoist. Unscrew the battery, de-gas bottle and screw it to 10 Nm at re-assembly. Disassemble the generator and disconnect B + terminal nut to 8 Nm and reconnect the generator with the specified torque. Undo the procedure of removing to complete the installation.
