2007 Lincoln Navigator Fuel Pressure Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Fuel Pressure Sensor on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?
A: The first step to servicing and repairing the fuel tank pressure sensor is removing the fuel tank. Begin the fuel tank pressure sensor service by disconnecting quick connect couplings of the supply and return fuel tubes from the fuel filter system of the 106L (28-gallon) fuel tank. Begin the process by taking out both fuel tank heat shield retainers followed by removal of the heat shield itself. Disconnect all quick connect couplings linking the fuel tank pressure sensor and vapor tube assembly to the fuel vapor/grade vent valves as well as to the fuel pump module. The 106L fuel tank requires service of its fuel tank pressure sensor and vapor tube assembly and fresh air tube as a combined assembly that needs removal as a unit. You can service the 33-gallon 125L fuel tank by taking out its fuel tank pressure sensor and vapor tube assembly. Installation requires following the reverse steps of the removal process. A leak test of the system must follow installation while performing the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle to validate proper system operation.
