How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Hose from the Steering Gear to the Fluid Cooler on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?

The power steering line service process requires the vehicle to be in NEUTRAL gear while resting on a hoist for repairs of the steering gear to fluid cooler return hose. Detach the upper air deflector through removal of its 10 pushpin-type retainers before disconnecting the air deflector from its installation position. The power steering maintenance procedure starts with removing the air cleaner outlet pipe coupled with releasing the clamp while disconnecting the power steering return hose from the power steering fluid cooler. Begin the power steering return hose removal by detaching it from cooling fan shroud clips before releasing the lower cooling fan shroud tab to rotate the shroud upward. Reinstall the oil drip shield by tightening its two bolt connections to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft). The replacement of new O-ring seals becomes mandatory whenever disconnecting power steering gear lines. Depending on the direction of removal, disconnect the power steering return line from the steering gear by rotating the clamp plate and tightening its bolt to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). As the installation process ends you must replace broken steering line O-ring seals and follow by filling the power steering system.
