2007 Lincoln Navigator Throttle Position Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?
A: The service of Throttle Position (TP) Sensor begins by removing the throttle body (TB). You should first loosen the TP sensor screws one or two full turns with hand tools before removing them through proper high-speed drivers because incorrect touch can destroy the screws. Dispose of the two screws after removing the TP sensor. The proper installation of the new TP sensor requires that its radial locator tab matches the radial locator hole found on the throttle body. Tighten the two new screws of the new TP sensor to 3 Nm (27 lb-in) using a driver tool. Finally, reinstall the throttle body. The TP sensor along with its screws must be discarded because they should never be used again.
