How Can the Rear Axle Shaft Be Safely Removed and Reinstalled with Rear Air Springs on 2007 Lincoln Town Car?

Before servicing the axle shaft, remove the rear air suspension switch. Remove rear brake caliper, disc and abs sensor. Remove the differential cover, pinion shaft and U-washer and carefully withdraw the axle shaft. Install new oil seal, refit shaft, U-washer, pinion shaft, tighten bolts to spec and reassemble components.
