Service and repair of the headlamp dimmer switch and steering column multifunction switch requires a first step of disconnecting the battery ground cable. Before beginning replace the tilt release lever and handle. Press the sides of the upper steering column shroud to open it before removing three screws with both shrouds allowing their installation with 2 Nm (18 lb-in) torque. The three multifunction switch electrical connectors need removal before you unscrew and remove the switch while tightening screws to 3 Nm (27 lb-in). Perform the reverse processes to finish installing both components.
