How to Service the A/C Condenser Core on 2007 Mercury Mariner?

Start servicing the condenser core when you place the vehicle in NEUTRAL on a hoist for work. Stop and recover the refrigerant before starting to remove the front bumper covering. The condenser core fittings need disconnection through the removal of two fitting nuts which requires seal replacement before retightening the fittings to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). During reinstall of the condenser core remove the four bolts from its brackets while tightening the brackets to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). You should set the power steering cooler properly to one side before extracting the condenser core. The installation of the new condenser core requires following the opposite removal process by using new O-ring seals and applying clean PAG oil properly within the refrigerant system. The refrigerant system requires evacuation and leak testing before charging completes the procedure.
