Service and repair operations on the cruise control switch require removing the driver air bag module first. First remove the four screws which secure the steering wheel cover and then detach the four nuts on the steering wheel brace while tightening the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) upon completing reassembly. You should disconnect all electrical cables first before taking out the speed control switches by removing their four screws. Install these switches with 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque. The installation ends by executing the inverse of the removal steps.
