How to service and repair the starter motor on 2007 Mercury Mountaineer?

In order to service the starter motor, the vehicle must be put on a hoist in neutral. Unscrew the battery ground connection, sleeve, and unscrew the B and S-terminal, and tighten them up again. Take off the starter and fit it on back with an adequate torque with protective caps fitted later.
