The service starts by taking out the oil level indicator followed by the pin-type retainer with five bolts and then the right-hand splash shield requiring a 9 Nm torque when reinstalling all components. Start by detaching the wire harness retainer from the oil indicator tube and then remove the bolt which fastens the oil level indicator tube. Reinstallation requires a 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque setting for that bolt. Replace the old O-ring placed on the oil level indicator tube by lubricating the new one with clean engine oil before reinstalling through the backward process.
