How to service the evaporator core on 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

A leak test must come first to evaluate the evaporator core before its removal. You need a new suction accumulator only when the contamination from a broken A/C compressor or damage to the existing accumulator occurs. The service starts by removing the heater core while secondly removing the evaporator tube dash panel seal. The three screws securing the evaporator tube bracket need to be removed afterward the bracket will separate from its position. The procedure demands removal of the evaporator core following other steps. Reinstallation of the new core follows the procedure for core removal in reverse order. The refrigerant system must be evacuated followed by leak testing before system charging to complete this operation.
