The removal of transmission insulator studs by loosening the nuts might end in their disconnection from the insulator body. In this situation reinstall fresh insulator studs. Start by removing rear transmission insulator bolts while simultaneously removing nuts before lifting the transmission until it disconnects from the insulator to take out the insulator piece. To install the rear transmission insulator lower the transmission onto the crossmember so you can gain access to install the bolts by slightly raising the back portion of the transmission if required. Torque the transmission insulator bolts first in a loose manner while installing a fresh insulator stud which requires a torque of 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.). Start by installing nuts on the transmission insulator loosely before tightening bolts of transmission insulator to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.) and nuts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
