Use a suitable jack to hold the lower arm while removing the stabilizer bar link lower bolt. Handle the coil spring with great caution since it bears excessive load that could lead to severe injuries during maintenance. Begin by removing the outboard bolt from the lower arm then lowering the arm before eliminating the spring for examination of both upper and lower seats for damage with required replacements. The procedure for installing the spring upper seat requires placing it onto the spring before positioning it with the end 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step on the seat. Situations where you took away the lower seat require you to insert it into the lower arm through proper alignment of its recess and projection. Mount the spring at the bottom arm by setting its end at 0-10 mm (0-0.39 in) from the step location on the spring seat.
