How to service and repair the hood latch on 2008 Ford Mustang?

The hood latch can be serviced by removing the 6 retainers, upper radiator shield and front bumper cover. Indicate the position of the latch, and detach the two bolts and release cable. Installation again entails doing the reverse of the first period and then lubricating the latch with a period of engagement. Tighten bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
