The first step requires removing the center console followed by detaching the selector lever cable end from the selector lever even while pressing its 2 tabs. To reach the cable retainer and rubber grommet underneath carpet and insulation you must disconnect them from the floor and guide the cable through the heater housing area. Disconnect the mass air flow sensor electrical connector and remove the engine breather from the air cleaner assembly after taking out the 2 nuts securing the rubber grommet at the bulkhead. To start the procedure remove two bolts attaching the air cleaner assembly while loosening the air cleaner outlet pipe clamp near the throttle body and eliminating the air cleaner assembly with its outlet pipe.
