How to service and repair the hood latch on 2008 Lincoln Mark LT?

In order to service the hood latch, take off the 7 retainers and upper sight shield. Label the position of the latch, then take the 2 bolts off and disconnect the release cables. Installation Reverse the process using bolts and secure bolts to 12 Nm and verify alignment after installation and lubrication.
