How to service the rear seat armrest on 2008 Lincoln MKZ?

In order to service the rear seat armrest, take out the rear seat cushion and 60 percent backrest. Unscrew the armrest bolts and then position the armrest into position. Unattach the armrest assembly and trim cover, replacing broken retainers. The process can be reversed to remove and re-install the components.
