How to Service and Repair the EGR Valve on 2008 Mercury Milan?

In order to fix the EGR valve, empty the cooling system, pull off the air cleaner outlet pipe, and dis-connect the EGR valve connector. Unscrew hoses and bolts, and throw away the gasket. Install the new valve, which should be tightened to a 20 Nm. Wipe off parts with plastic object and then revert the process of removing the parts and fill the cooling system.
