How to service the rear ABS sensor on all on 2008 Mercury Sable?

All vehicles require service of their rear ABS sensor by positioning them in NEUTRAL on a hoist. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector of the ABS sensor before removing its bolt which should be tightened to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when reinstalling. The left-hand ABS sensor service requires ABS sensor harness spring clip release followed by two pin-type retainer removal from the rear control arm and finally releasing the harness pin-type retainer to remove the ABS sensor. Proceed with removal of the right-hand ABS sensor by first separating two pin-type retainers from the control arm rear followed by releasing the spring clip along with three additional pin-type retainers. Reverse the sensor removal process by placing the ABS sensor harness correctly in the rear subframe assembly to avoid any damage occurring.
