The first step for servicing a headlamp dimmer switch involves releasing the upper steering column shroud with a press-and-lift method starting from the sides. The shroud can then be removed. You should first free the tilt lever. Then unscrew the three screws which hold the lower steering column shroud before removing the shroud itself. First disconnect the electrical connector from the multifunction switch then remove the two screws which secure the multifunction switch to take it out. The opposite procedure used during uninstallation should be followed to finish setup.
