2009 Ford Escape Wheel Seal Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the LH Halfshaft Wheel Seal on 2009 Ford Escape?
A: The LH halfshaft seal service process requires the vehicle to be in neutral position while on a hoist. Puncture a small hole through the halfshaft seal using an appropriate awl after you remove the left-hand side front halfshaft. The dent puller will remove the halfshaft seal after pocking the seal with an appropriate tool. The seal installer and handle should be used to apply a new halfshaft seal which will get installed on the LH side. Reinstallation of the front LH halfshaft must be followed by clean fluid addition to reach proper fluid levels.
