2009 Ford F-150 Air Filter Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Air Filter Element on 2009 Ford F-150?
A: Before servicing the Air Filter users must first loosen the clamp and remove the outlet Air Filter pipe from the cover while maintaining proper 4 Nm (35 lb-in) pipe clamping force. The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector needs to be disconnected first before the retaining clamps enable removal of the Air Filter cover. You can service the Air Filter cover through screw and MAF sensor removal followed by screw tightening at 3 Nm (27 lb-in). After removing the Air Filter users should check that the new Air Filter is completely seated within the Air Filter housing and engineered to prevent odd engine noises. The installation must be completed by following the reverse steps of removal.
