2009 Ford Flex Radiator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the radiator on 2009 Ford Flex?
A: Service and repair of the radiator begins when you drain the cooling system. First detach the cooling fan motor and shroud after which you should remove the front bumper cover. First disconnect the upper radiator hose together with the lower degas bottle hose from the radiator and finally sever the lower radiator hose. Using the tabs will allow you to extract the radiator support brackets while sliding the radiator towards the engine compartment. The separation of condenser from radiator requires removal of two A/C condenser bolts after tightening these to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) during reinstallation. The reverse installation process starts following radiator removal. Technical Completion of the cooling system involves both the filling and bleeding process.
