2009 Ford Focus Turn Signal Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on all on 2009 Ford Focus?
A: A service and repair procedure for the turn signal switch starts with removing the steering column opening trim panel by first tugging down the top section to release upper retainers and then raising and pulling the bottom section from the lower retainers situated at the bottom corners. Vehicle owners should first release the steering column tilt lever when their vehicles have this feature. Use pliers to remove three screws securing the steering column shrouds after you press in on the sides of the upper shroud to detach it from the lower shroud. You must disconnect the multifunction switch electrical connector and then remove two screws which secure the switch and afterwards disconnect the switch. When installing the assembly follow the steps that reverse the uninstallation process.
