2008 Ford Focus Turn Signal Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on all on 2008 Ford Focus?
A: Service and repair of the turn signal switch requires starting with steering column opening cover removal through careful upper retainer pull at the top followed by slow upward and outward motion on lower retainers found at the bottom corners. Users should first unlock the steering column tilt function when their vehicle has a steering wheel that adjusts vertically. The three screws which fasten the upper and lower steering column shrouds can be removed after applying pressure to the sides of the upper shroud which allows it to detach from the lower shroud. Before installation disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connector then remove two screws and take out the switch from its place. The reverse removal steps should be used to finish the installation process.
