How to Remove and Replace a Flywheel (Flexplate) on 2009 Ford Fusion?

In order to remove the flexplate, be sure that the vehicle is in neutral on a hoist. Take out the automatic transaxle, the 6 flexplate bolts. Installation is done with special bolts, which are tightened in three steps; 50 Nm, 80 Nm, and 112 Nm. Lastly, re install the automatic transaxle according to the correct procedures.
