How to remove and replace the front bumper cover or fascia on 2009 Ford Mustang?

The first step for front bumper cover or fascia removal involves removing 6 pin-type retainers along with upper radiator sight shields from base vehicles and GT models or 8 pin-type retainers and upper radiator sight shields from Shelby GT 500 models. The installation requires us to extract both front upper bumper cover bolts together with the other six front fender splash shield-to-front bumper cover screws. The 10 lower air deflector bolts require removal from vehicles that have them unless otherwise installed they need a torque of 2 Nm (18 lb-in). Position the front splash shield to the side before removing the 4 front bumper cover-to-reinforcement nuts that require tightening to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) at installation. Before obtaining the front bumper cover it is necessary to disconnect any applicable fog lamp electrical connectors and side marker lamp electrical connectors. Installation of the new bumper cover requires following the steps of returning to the removal process.
