2009 Ford Taurus Radiator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the radiator on 2009 Ford Taurus?
A: Service and repair of the radiator starts with draining the cooling system fluid. Start by removing the cooling fan motor and its shroud after which you should detach the front bumper cover. Remove the upper radiator hose together with the lower degas bottle hose from the radiator before disconnecting the lower radiator hose. Before placing the radiator in position against the engine lift its support brackets at the tabs. You should detach the condenser from the radiator by removing its two A/C condenser bolts while maintaining a torque of 6 Nm (53 lb-in) when reinstalling these bolts. Reverse the removal steps when reattaching the radiator. Complete the cooling system work by filling and bleeding it.
