    A: Servicing or repairing the seat heater switch and seat control switch requires you to first turn off the ignition and let the back up power supply deplete for one minute to prevent accidental deployment-related serious injury or death. Before accessing the passenger seat one must separate the carpet flap toe-kick and remove the pin-type retainers from the cushion side shield and recliner cover. Placing the driver seat to its maximum forward position and lowest height and paying attention to exactly the same configuration with the passenger seat. The first step entails removing the side shield cover of the cushion followed by disconnection of belt retainers from both seats before extracting the shield by unfurling a scrivet and screw and unclipping the fasteners and unconnecting seat control switch electrical wires. You must pry off the screws and switch cover before pulling out the control switch from the shaft within the cushion side shield. When reinstalling the seat control switch into the cushion side shield you should begin by securing the cover with screws before returning all retaining clips and connecting the electrical connectors along with aligning clips to the seat and installing the screw and scrivet. Fasten the J-clip to reattach the carpet flap toe-kick and then install the pin-type retainers. The installation requires fitting the driver seat to its maximum forward and lowest position before installing the safety belt anchor bolt to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft) torque and connecting the passenger seat BTS electrical connector. The Reset procedure for Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) System must be performed when the passenger seat gets maintenance.
