How to service the front seat cushion on 2009 Lincoln Navigator?

The service process begins by taking out the seat backrest and seat cushion cover and subsequently removing the cushion foam pad. The safety belt buckle and pretensioner disconnection process starts with untie-ing the strap then disconnecting the two connectors before removing the nut. After service, tighten the buckle and pretensioner to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). When servicing the driver seat position sensor the wiring harness pin-type retainer and electrical connector for this sensor should be removed. When removing the cushion TED from a climate-controlled seat you must detach the wiring harness but remember how the wire channels were configured for accurate reinstallation. The Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) can be slid out by releasing its two tabs. When installing a new DCSM perform Programmable Module Installation (PMI) steps. Disassembly of the passenger seat requires cutting and removing the wire harness tie strap and unlocking two positioning wedges followed by separating three electrical connectors. The removal of the DSM module starts by disconnecting four electrical connectors while sliding it out once both release tabs of the module are unlocked. Cutoff the three seat track motor electrical connectors and disconnect the additional three memory sensor electrical connectors that are present on driver seats. To remove the wire harness detachment requires unscrewing three bracket screws and removing the tie strap while releasing the rear bracket clip away from the seat track. Manual seats require the inboard and outboard rails to move after undoing six nuts connecting rail-to-track which must be retightened to 30 Nm torque before reassembly and detaching the adjust handle from the inboard rail for proper reinstallation by noting spring placement. The final step for assembly requires performing the reverse actions of disassembly.
