How to service the rear antenna cable on 2009 Lincoln Town Car?

The rear antenna lead-in cable cannot be removed from the wiring harness but you must install the new cable next to the harness and attach it with wire ties. Keep the original cable in place. The new cable placement should sit atop the harness before tying it in place with wire ties which must avoid endangering the wiring through excessive pressure. The antenna ends should be tied back or insulated to avoid the creation of noise. Start by taking off the parcel shelf then unclip the pin-type retainers from the RH lower C-pillar trim panel and position the insulation to the side. The RH lower A-pillar trim panel along with the RH B-pillar trim panel should be removed next. Remove the antenna lead-in cable at the A-pillar before you can start lowering the RH rear headliner corner. You must detach the rear antenna cable at the rear window glass by breaking the bolt tie followed by unplugging the electrical connection and removing the push pin retainer. The last step to finish the installation consists of performing the removal steps in reverse order.
