How to service and repair the alternator on 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis?

To service the alternator, loosen the battery, take off the engine cover nut and put aside the accessory drive belt. Unscrew the connector of the generator and take off the B+ terminal nut and the generator bracket bolt. Lastly, take off the generator bolts and repeat the steps to install it in the same manner, but tighter.
