You need to use a driver wheel stabilizer like the Hunter(R) 28-75-1 or its equal to lock the steering wheel at the front position. The upper steering column shaft-to-steering column bolt needs removal and disposal before disconnecting the shaft while substituting a new bolt which should be tightened to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). The next step requires removal of the two upper steering column shaft bearing nuts before installing new ones that should be tightened to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
