How to remove and replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2009 Mercury Sable?

Replacement To take out the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), access the setting, take off the cowl panel grille, disconnect PCM connectors and then remove the module. Install the new PCM, fix the PCM in place, reconnect the connectors and reconfigure. Lastly, reprogram Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS).
