How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on Ford Contour?

To maintain the throttle cable, disassemble the accelerator assembly by disconnecting it to the throttle body and disassemble the accelerator cable assembly. Disconnect cable in throttle linkage, spark plug cover and pedal. Un screw the cable housing of the bulkhead. To install, undo the steps of removing.
