  A: You must start air filter servicing for the 4.6L, 5.4L, and 6.8L engines by taking off the air filter inlet tube from its plastic attachment point on the radiator support by rotating it upward for detachment. Unlatch the clamp on the air filter assembly then remove the air filter tray while following step two. After detaching the air filter, you must follow the opposite order of removal to install a new filter. Follow these instructions when reinstalling the air filter cover towards its tray assembly slot then verify that the band clamp covers the tray along with the cover while it securely latches into place.
