Start windshield resealing by detaching windshield
Wiper Pivot arms, cowl top vent panels, A-pillar trim panels and overhead console (if present) along with dome lamp assembly (if present) and
Sun Visors and clips and interior rear view mirror. A cleaning operation with glass cleaner must be performed on the inside top and side areas and outside bottom section created by the existing urethane adhesive where it touches the glass windshield. The specified-cut urethane adhesive applicator tip should be used with a high-ratio electric or battery-operated caulk gun to apply adhesive easily while producing one continuous bead that covers all gaps. Apply new urethane adhesive to lay on top of existing urethane adhesive and extend across the windshield top area and sides from inside and at its base from outside. The urethane adhesive needs minimum one-hour curing time before you check for leakages through the adhesive bead while you add more adhesive when needed. The repair process concludes by reattaching the interior rear view mirror followed by sun visors and clips and then dome lamp assembly (if equipped) and overhead console (if equipped), and A-pillar trim panels, cowl top vent panels before installing the windshield wiper pivot arms. The glass surface needs glass cleaner to clean both inside and outside sections.
