You need to first remove the six front bumper bolts that are distributed in three bolts on each side then make sure new bolts reach 67 Nm (49 lb-ft) tightening during installation. The four upper and lower bumper-to-radiator support bolts need removal on each side of the vehicle before installation where new bolts should be tightened to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Service the front bumper reinforcement by following the reverse installation sequence of the front bumper removal process.
- Q: How to remove and replace the front bumper cover on Ford Edge?A:The first step to remove and change the front bumper cover requires placing the vehicle in neutral gear on a hoist. The radiator grille can be dismantled by first unscrewing the 2 bolts and 4 scrivets on top and then the 3 lower pin-type retainers. The first step requires removing the 6 fender splash shield screws and three screws from each side along with the other four lower screws installed as two units on each side. The side marker lamp and fog lamp electrical connections need disconnection if the vehicle is equipped with them. You must peel the corner of the bumper cover from its bracket before removing it totally. The new bumper cover installation follows the reverse procedure of removal.
