How to Service the PCV Valve on Ford Edge?

Service of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve begins by removing the crankcase ventilation tube from its position to the PCV valve. The removal of a PCV valve from the valve cover requires a new valve because its locking mechanism might become damaged when removing it. Before placing the new PCV valve in position apply clean engine oil to its O-ring seal before turning it counterclockwise to extract it from the valve cover for garbage disposal. Reinstall the components in the opposite order of the removal process.
