Service of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable. The first step requires removing the PCV hose quick release coupling from the PCV valve before placing it aside. The electrical connector needs to be unhooked from the PCV valve. Discovery of the PCV valve from the valve cover requires installation of a new PCV valve to protect the locking mechanism. After uninstallation of the PCV valve, turn it counterclockwise to remove it from the valve cover. Install the component by performing the steps in reverse order of the uninstallation process.

Start PCV valve servicing by disconnecting the electrical connector from the device and then remove the crankcase ventilation tube.
