How to remove and install the Center Console Base in all on Ford Escape?

To work with the floor console you must advance the seats and take out the back bolts before moving the seats back and disconnecting the battery. When ready install the transmission selector lever bezel as you place the parking brake handle into its highest position. To uninstall the floor console start by taking the top panel off for the Mariner model. Pressing on both ends of the storage bin frees its retaining tabs from the floor console finish panel before removing the finish panel and unplugging electrical connections. To access the floor console you should press on the rear and front storage bin tabs to disconnect it from the floor console finish. Use the handle boot to unhook it from the finish and take out the six bolts for complete removal. Follow the steps in reverse to reinstall the part.
