Ford Escape Center Console Base Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Remove and Install the Center Console Base on All on Ford Escape?
A: Position the seats forward and take off the two bolts at the rear end before moving the seats back and disconnecting the battery. To start remove the parking brake by pushing it to the highest point while detaching the transmission lever cover. Pull the floor console boot away from its position on the finish panel. The Mariner requires you to take out the floor console top panel first. When disassembling the Escape and removing the floor console storage bin use pressure on both sides to release the retaining tabs from the floor console finish panel. Afterwards, pull off the floor console finish panel and disconnect its electrical clamps. Unfasten the six bolts from the floor console and extract it. Follow the steps for reinstallation in the opposite order to place the floor console back.
