The radiator repair process starts with draining the engine cooling system followed by lower splash shields removal. Disconnection of the lower radiator hose and degas return hose takes place exclusively on vehicles which contain 2.0L Zetec engines. People who own vehicles with 3.0L (4V) engines must detach the lower radiator hose and both the high-pressure transmission line as well as the degas return hose.
