How to service and repair the radiator on Ford Escape?

The radiator service and repair process should start with draining the engine cooling system followed by vehicle raising and support installation. Remove the lower splash shields. When replacing equipment on vehicles with 2.0L Zetec powerplants the users should detach both the lower radiator hose and the degas return hose. 3.0L (4V) engine owners must detach their lower radiator hose together with high-pressure transmission lines and degas supply hose. After lowering the vehicle, 2.0L Zetec engine owners must disconnect their remaining coolant hoses and 3.0L (4V) engine owners need to remove the transmission return line together with the upper radiator hose and the degas supply hose. Use a screwdriver to clear the hood latch assembly from the path while removing the two bolts and the center support until the cooling fan retains by its two top bolts. The radiator needs to be taken out of the vehicle after you remove both upper radiator support brackets. The installation of the new radiator requires a reverse execution of all steps from its removal.
