How to service and repair the radiator cooling fan motor and shroud on Ford Escape?

In order to service the radiator cooling fan motor and shroud, hoist vehicle in neutral. To mark the position of the hood latch in 2.3L vehicles, drain the cooling system, remove the front bumper cover and disconnect the components. Loosen electrical connectors, detach the cooling fan and fill-up the cooling system in 2.3L cars.
