How to Service and Repair Automatic Transmission Shift Levers on Ford Escort?

In order to repair the automatic transmission shift levers, remove the dial bezel and electrical connector. Remove brake shift interlock actuator screws and gearshift lever cable nut, do not kink. Take off cable bracket bolts leaving interlock cable locknut in place. Lastly, take away the gearshift lever and reverse last steps to install.
