You should start by taking out the air cleaner housing then disassembling the Brake Master Cylinder nuts before setting the brake master cylinder off to a side. First remove the instrument panel steering column opening cover then take out the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch self-locking pin. Remove the BPP switch and brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin and disconnect both power brake booster nuts as well as the power brake booster itself. The install will require following all removal steps in reverse order.

  You must start by verifying the Hydro-Boost power brake booster has Mercon (R) Multi-Purpose ATF XT-2-QDX or a Mercon (R) equivalent in its power steering oil reservoir tank. Disconnecting the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) fuse while cranking the engine for several seconds will stop a vehicle start. Verify that the power steering oil reservoir has enough fluid then replace the PCM fuse after checking. Begin the motor operation and while the engine is active make two complete steering wheel movements between stops followed by engine shutdown. Press the Brake Pedal two or more times to empty the accumulator before performing the preceding operational steps. The engine needs to be stopped immediately if any foam appears because the foam needs time to fade before continuing. Perform the steps again until the system contains no remaining air which will be marked by the disappearance of foaming.
