How to service the brake light switch on Ford Excursion?

To service the brake light switch, first unconnect the battery ground cable. Then, remove the cover by disconnection of the brake pedal position (BPP) switch electrical connector. Then take the retaining pin out and slide the BPP out of the brake pedal. They just have to be reversed to complete the installation.
